Gotland Ring with Onyx K3-41K-18
Made based on the Viking pendant Visby of the 11th-12th centuries, found on the island of Gotland in the Baltic Sea. The pendant is currently kept in the Statens Historiska Museum, Stockholm, Sweden. At that time, the island was the center of trade and cultural life in the region, as evidenced by more than 650 treasures found there.
The product is made of bronze - the oldest alloy, “born” 5 thousand years ago. Bronze is copper with a small amount of tin added: thanks to this additive, the alloy becomes stronger than pure copper. Dark spots on the products are the result of blackening, that is, chemical and heat treatment of the metal. All shiny surfaces are pure metal, polished to a mirror shine, which can be preserved if you regularly wipe the product with a soft (flannel or wool) cloth, preferably lubricated with GOI paste, or use "folk" methods.
